Positions & Duties
The starting salary will be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in the Senior Systems Applications Programmer classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.

Salary Range:

$47.60 – $57.88 Hourly and $99,008.00 – $120,390.40 Annually

This position is responsible for enabling digital transformation and business process automation for the Environmental Services Department (ESD). This position would work with all ESD divisions and locations to gather business requirements and implement technology to support modernization efforts. This position reports to an Information Systems Analyst.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

Develop, maintain, and provide ESD user and product support of Microsoft 365 commodities such as SharePoint, Teams, Stream, Power Automate (previously Flow), Planner, Booking, etc., including design and building sites, webparts, and other components from an initial redesign project outcome and/or transition to SharePoint Online, expanding upon the initial plan as needed to meet department needs and expectations

Participate and provide support to projects related to Microsoft 365 product

Participates in product discovery phase by helping project/program managers gather, define, and refine requirements through sessions with end-users, subject-matter experts, and product owners

Participates in product release cycles as the product expert, including user acceptance testing sessions, to help surface any issues prior to a release.

Assists in managing scope, issues, and customer expectations for assigned ESD-IT projects
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of customers and technology staff

Create and conduct ESD end-user SharePoint and Teams trainings

Maintain and manage ESD document folders and folder hierarchy structure

Creating and maintaining technical documentations. Develop detailed documentation on site architecture, permissions, naming conventions, metadata and information management tags, and review processes

Employ SharePoint Online content migration tools (such as Sharegate, AvePoint, etc.)
Work with ITD’s Collaboration and Productivity group to maintain current standards for supported Office 365 applications including guidance on MS Teams and SharePoint site deployment, management, governance and best practices.

Qualifications
1. Education: A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Technology, or a closely related field.

2. Experience: Three years of increasingly progressive experience in computer systems applications programming.

Acceptable Substitutions: Additional years of directly related work experience may be substituted for up to a maximum of two years of the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

2+ more years of experience with gathering information system requirements, technical analysis, and end user training techniques.
