E-Commerce Product Manager
Academy Museum of Motion Pictures

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures furthers the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections. Welcoming visitors from Los Angeles and around the world, the Museum works in active partnership with motion picture artists and specialists, scholars, staff, and diverse communities to contextualize and challenge dominant narratives around cinema, inspiring discourse, connection, joy, and discovery.

Reporting to the Director of Retail, the E-Commerce Product Manager will develop and implement site merchandising and business strategies to grow our online presence and attract new customers. You will play a critical role in managing all aspects of product management while supporting our overall digital product strategy, its related testing and feature roadmap.

You Will:

  • Oversee design and developments of the website.
  • Establish a deep understanding of the user experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that attract and build loyal relationships with customers.
  • Manage the product go-live process, including uploading product details, manage page merchandising driven by data, assortment information, and customer experience.
  • Maintain an online business plan by tracking sales and developing business strategies.
  • Translate user, business, and technical needs.
  • Execute ecommerce marketing strategy and integrated marketing campaigns aimed at consumer retention and increasing conversions.
  • Closely monitor and analyze campaign performance.
  • Partner with Buying and Planning to facilitate the release of new products and collections.
  • Create and own the product roadmap for the entire online experience.
  • Launch site changes and landing page additions on a regular basis.
  • Track conversion, retention optimization, and enabling customer LTV by building and maintaining a tracker of conversion optimization tactics.
  • Work both independently and as a member of the team.

You Have:

  • A bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in eCommerce and product management.
  • Working knowledge of Shopify required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite – both Excel and Power Point.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
