Facilities Manager

I.TITLE: Facilities Manager

 


DEPARTMENT: Operations

GRADE:  Full Time Salaried

FLSA: Non-Exempt

               COMPENSATION RANGE: $35,000 to $37,000 commensurate with experience

 

II.   POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Manager ensures the building and grounds are maintained to a high level of standard. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to identify and complete routine daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks.

 

III.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        All work is performed with a direct reflection of the mission and values of the organization

o   Perform time sensitive ‘handyman’ type repairs. Contract, schedule and manage tradespeople for tasks outside the scope of self-performance.

o   Ensure the safety and orderly conduct of staff, presenters, crew, students, and audience on premise.

o   Manage custodial day porter and overnight crew. Maintain an adequate stock of custodial supplies, procure as needed. If custodial is not available, clean as needed.

o   Provide basic IT support and be able to follow and apply directions from I.T .professionals.

o   Troubleshoot non-standard situations as they arise and apply appropriate unsupervised action.

o   Monitor security cameras and manage as appropriate.

o   Monitor, patrol and resolve parking lot issues as needed.

o   Source and acquire services and supplies as needed.

 

IV.OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·        Other duties as assigned

 

V.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·        Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 70 pounds on occasional basis.

·        The willingness to be out of doors during any given shift based on need, regardless of weather.

·        Available to work periodically on weekends and evenings as related to specific events and performances.

 

VI.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Minimum qualifications

o   Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in related field

o   Competent with Microsoft Office, the World Wide Web, and a general understanding of the structure of a managed network.

o   Experience with basic, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry repairs.

·        Preferred qualifications

o   Understanding of commercial building systems or willingness to learn.

o   Intermediate I.T. troubleshooting skills or a strong desire to learn.

o   Spanish language skills preferred, but not required.
