Business Development Intern

Role Description

We have a live opportunity in New York State that needs support this Summer. This is a very exciting opportunity for you to build your resume, make money and have a huge impact on the community.

We are able to use our innovative technology to offer gig level internet to people who otherwise would not have this type of broadband access. This is happening now and is not an emerging technology in development.

We need help getting users to adopt this service. You will be focused on GROWTH.

As an intern, you will learn how to build every aspect of a business, from finance and marketing to operations and business development.

Sample Responsibilities

·        Position our value proposition to new customers and help manage the sales cycle
·        Work with management team to conceptualize strategy (e.g. market trends and opportunities, potential areas for innovation, interesting adjacencies, etc.)
·        Track market trends and industry developments across telecom and technology
·        Create financial models including comparable companies and DCF analyses
·        Help prepare marketing materials and bid materials for investors and customers
·        Be involved in all company meetings (investors, customers, suppliers, etc.)

Desired Experience and Qualities
·        “Self-starter” mindset – can tackle problems with little direction
·        “Hustler” mindset – can create new projects and aggressively pursue opportunities
·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·        Passion for telecom and new age technology
·        Finance, operations and business development skills are a plus, but not required
·        Basic software proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google suite, etc.)
·        Excellent communication skills – someone who works well with others
