Specialist, Knowledge Management and Learning

Summary
The Specialist, Learning & Knowledge Management manages the learning strategy for Save the Children’s Finance division. In this role, you will work closely with Finance departments to support the development and delivery of learning opportunities for key stakeholders and contribute directly to the Grants & Contracts Policy & Compliance (GCPC) department’s award compliance learning strategy. You will drive GCPC’s knowledge management strategy; ensuring stakeholders have timely and efficient access to key procedures, tools, training materials, and guidance documents. The Specialist will also support the development of GCPC’s annual strategy and work plan, as well as monitor progress against deliverables.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
Manage Finance division learning strategy (25%)
  • Work closely with Finance departments to support the development and delivery of trainings to Finance stakeholders
  • Ensure similar look and feel for finance trainings so participants have consistent experiences
  • Support a participatory approach to trainings, keeping finance trainings fun & engaging
  • Provide training tools and resources that reduce duplication of effort
  • Consult on appropriate delivery methods, based on content and stakeholder group
  • Suggest trainings based on participant feedback and FLT priorities
  • Liaise with Human Resources to leverage Cornerstone and other learning resources
  • Manage Finance Learning impact & retention process
  • Manage Finance Learning Savenet Page
  • Coordinate and track onboarding process for Finance & Extended Finance staff
Support GCPC’s award compliance learning strategy (35%)
  • Manage GCPC Lunch & Learns
  • Contribute to GCPC trainings by developing content, providing logistics support, and coordinating the development of content by others
  • Manage Award Compliance Training Program (ACT) and act as key point of contact for ACT trainers
  • Collaborate with SCI’s Capacity Building Manager to identify and deliver training needs for SCI RO and CO staff
Knowledge Management (25%)
  • Serve as the point person for GCPC content on Save the Children intranets (SaveNeT and OneNeT), including editing, developing and/or managing content
  • Serve as point person on the Donor Resource Library for SCUS donor accounts, facilitating updates and content with SMEs
  • Identify and share external resources such as trainings available within the industry (Humentum, InterAction, etc.)
  • Provide guidance to GCPC on proper and consistent usage of document sharing platforms such as Teams, OneDrive, N drive, etc.
Strategic Planning & Reporting (15%)
  • Support the development of GCPC’s annual strategy and work plan
  • Monitor progress against deliverables and facilitate quarterly workplan sessions
  • Develop reports and brief leadership, as required

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least three years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and supporting adult learning modules
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing e-learning modules with Articulate or similar software
  • Knowledge of award compliance topics, particularly related to the management of US Government awards
