Work Study: Student Supervisor - Texas Union Underground (Work study and non-work study available)
This position with the Texas Union Underground is an active job requiring excellent customer service skills.
Start Date: May 10, 2021
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises all cash handling duties.
- Ensures completion of daily team tasks.
- Keeps other student staff productive and on task.
- Addresses Underground customer complaints.
- Enforces Underground, Texas Union, and University of Texas policies.
- Performs data entry tasks.
- Trains new Underground student staff.
- Provides ongoing performance feedback.
- Assists management with student staff evaluations each semester.
- Supervises student staff during emergency procedures.
- Encourages best customer service practices.
- Helps with equipment issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of supervisory experience.
- Outgoing person with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience with cash handling.
In addition to the requirements for the position, you must meet the following requirements to be considered for all positions in the University Unions:
- Be a current student at The University of Texas at Austin or other college/university and be registered for at least six (6) credit hours.
