Outside Sales Training Program

The Opportunity 
Ferguson is looking to train our future leaders from the ground-up, beginning in our entry-level Outside Sales Training Program starting August 2, 2021. 
 
How We Train You (Paid Training)
College of Ferguson: Invest in your personal career development in our entry-level Outside Sales Training Program. For a period of 4 months, our dedicated trainers and leadership team will guide you in a series of hybrid-style training (1 on 1, virtual, and hands-on). Your training will focus on sales process, product knowledge and related topics, aligning to our Facilities Supply business. 

Additionally, as part of your training period, you will spend up to 3 weeks in the Newport News, VA area where you will have the opportunity to train within our National Sales Center, tour Ferguson Headquarters and network with business leaders. 
 
What Happens After Training 
Upon successful completion of the College of Ferguson, you will work within your assigned territory as an Outside Sales Representative. As an Outside Sales Representative, your focus will be on business development to include cold-calling and prospecting. You will be prepared to meet sales goals by performing multiple sales functions and developing and maintaining customer relationships. This position is commission-eligible combined with a base salary; offering up to 9 months of guaranteed commission.

Minimum Qualifications
