The CDK Design System Team is focused on creating a single source design system for use in all CDK Products. We are looking for a user centered designer who understands design systems and Design Thinking to join us for a summer internship.
As a Design System Design Intern, you will...
- Work with the CDK Design System Team to build example products that will be used by product teams as a best practice for how to use the design system
- Test and iterate on the design of Design System components and patterns
- Provide interaction and visual design’s artifacts that development will use to implement into a working sample product
- Collaborate closely with design researchers, designers, product owners and development peers to ensure designs meets the needs of the user
- Present and evangelize your work across the organization
- Operate with lean, agile frameworks and methodologies to improve the ability to respond to change
We realize that everyone's situation is unique, however our general guidelines for requirements include...
- A portfolio and/or case studies demonstrating student work.
- Enrollment in a design, UX or HCI program from an accredited university.
- Have a passion for creating and supporting great products
- Have a basic understanding of software development
- Thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, and have strong verbal and written communications
- Familiarity with Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite and Invision.
