Financial Analyst

Position Summary:

Seeking a high caliber Financial Analyst. This position will be responsible for partnering with Human Resources, Finance & Accounting, and all other internal customers. The selected candidate will support projects and be considered a Subject Matter Expert on in the following areas:
·Monitor costs and manpower on a weekly basis ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objective
·Providing clear and concise data analytics to executive front office
·Prepare internal program review presentations
·Ensure all required finance inputs are reviewed, analyzed and submitted on time
·Serve as the primary financial technical POC for financial analysis by providing guidance/training/clarification of finance business tools and processes
·Support audits of financial information by internal auditors, external auditors, DCAA and other agencies
·Support and analyze benefits including but not limited to, pensions, insurance, investments, 401K
·Assist in data analytics regarding headcount / demographic reporting, payroll reporting, ERISA,

Qualifications
Required Skills:
·Bachelor degree and at least 1+ years of related finance experience
·Strong analytical skills
·Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
·Experience presenting complex information to all levels of staff and management in a clear and concise manner
·Understand and perform analysis on the Annual Plan, Forecast, and Short Range Outlook
·Experience organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to Customers, Management, and peers
·Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, clear verbal and writing abilities, task flexibility, sensitivity to customer’s needs


Desired Skills:
·Fluent in all aspects of Finance (Program Controls, Accounting, Forecasting, Benefits Accounting)
·Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
·Experience with benefits accounting and associated reconciliations
oFamiliarity with pensions (investments & liability reporting), insurance, retiree medical, 401K
·Excellent verbal and written communications skills
·Proactive, creative, problem solving and decision making skills
·Experience in organizing, preparing and presenting briefings to peers and senior management
·IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
·CostPoint


Required Education:
·Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
·Master’s Degree preferred
