Board Operator - Media

Cumulus Media’s Dallas location is offering a great opportunity for a Board Operator (Part-Time). Our ideal candidate should possess an extremely good work ethic, is a self-starter, and highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.

Our Opportunity:

Cumulus Media Dallas is seeking an experienced Board Operator (Part Time) for WBAP-AM and/or KLIF-AM control room studio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate must have prior board operating experience, be familiar with FCC rules and regulations and EAS guidelines, as well as be proficient using computer systems such as ENCO, Soundforge, Nuendo, Adobe Audition and/or other audio editing programs. The candidate should be familiar with remote monitoring systems for radio transmitters.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Duties include but are not limited to airing live or pre-recorded local and syndicated radio programs. This includes playing all commercials as scheduled, maintaining a commercial and transmitter log, selecting bumper music when needed, and back-timing pre-recorded programs for smooth transition back to live programming. Must monitor at all times for EAS Alerts, Amber Alerts, and breaking news, & monitor sister FM music station overnights and on weekends. Dependability and reliability are a must. Flexibility in scheduling a plus. Primarily weekend and overnight duties, as needed.
