ENTRY LEVEL/FULL TIME: Mortgage Loan Coordinator
Job Description
The Mortgage Closing Coordinator is a non-exempt position and requires an individual with strengths in managing his or her workflow by quickly and accurately communicating, routing, and assigning loans in an electronic-based environment. Training on residential mortgage documentation and customer service needs will be provided, and a delightful attitude is a plus.
Essential Job Functions
Our coordinator is a key component to the overall productivity of the team. He or she will be provided with login credentials to Gregg & Valby software, which permits access to client information. The coordinator is responsible for:
- Communicating with clients and acknowledging receipt of new orders
- Reading initial email from client sent with the new order – notify closer / funder of any special requests (Rush – mail out)
- Reviewing list of source documents provided and request any missing items from client
- Combining files into single pdf documents and bookmarking them for the Fulfillment team specialist
- Setting up files in the GV tracking software and assigning new loans to Fulfillment team specialists
- Monitor all group emails and notify closer, funder and post-closer of any additional documents provided – upload documents in tracking
- Constant communication with Fulfillment team and manager is crucial
Additional Job Functions
- Maintaining a database of usernames and passwords of various websites to allow the secure access of client sensitive data and documentation
- Database to be updated ASAP upon changes
- Complete various cross-training assignments in the Fulfillment Department upon request, and assist in other areas in the Fulfillment Department. as needed
- Must be able to prioritize assignments and schedule workload to meet timeline requirements and maintain a variety of transactions
Minimum Requirements
- Must possess basic computer skills and general knowledge of Microsoft Office software and PDF software
- Must type an average of 60 to 65 words per minute
- Must be open to working overtime within reasonable expectations, including, without limitation, arriving early, working through lunch, or working later than scheduled
- Must be able to multi-task and work in an environment that requires a sense of urgency to meet customer service goals
- Reasonably prompt access to a reliable internet connection away from the office if required under extraordinary circumstances
