Participate in Chevron’s Horizons Development Program
Horizons is an accelerated competency-based employee development program which complements on-the-job learning and provides the skills needed most for professional growth. It is intended for all new hires with less than five years of industry experience. The objective of the Horizons Program is to accelerate the technical knowledge, skills and self-confidence of Chevron’s new workforce within their first five years. 
While you are in the IT Horizons Program, you will be receive cross-functional, functional and technical training based on your Horizons track, you will be assigned a technical mentor in your first two years of being in the program, and you will have at least 2 different assignments in the Horizons Program.

You will design, build and integrate applications that enable global business processes and help develop and support solutions to meet tomorrow’s business needs. You may also provide support to ensure optimal utilization of our general and high-performance computing systems.

Information and Analytics

Information Security

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and classified as a senior or graduate student with anticipation of receiving a Bachelor or Masters Degree by July 2021 OR college graduates with less than two years’ experience since receiving their degrees.
  • Must provide a current, unofficial transcript with online resume (as proof of good academic standing) when applying for this position to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0
  • Technical skills with interest in applying technology to improve business outcomes
  • Ability to write code/scripting (i.e. C/C++, C#, Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Ability to develop in low code environment (e.g. PowerBI, PowerApps, etc.)
  • Awareness of information technology’s current and emerging trends and direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Geographic mobility is a plus
  • School, work experiences or exposure in the following areas is a plus
  • Cloud Infrastructure Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Services
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
  • Agile Development, Networking, Unix/Linux Administration, Windows Administration
  • Data Science / Data modeling
  • Cybersecurity
  • Scrum/Agile/SAFe
