Intern - Information Technology

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of 2020-2021: Technology – Internship (Software Engineering, Application Engineering, Cloud Engineer, Data Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, Machine Learning Engineer, Cybersecurity) with potential locations in Houston, TX, San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Covington, LA, Midland, TX, and Bakersfield, CA through September 24, 2020. Interviews will be held on September 28-29, 2020.

You will design, build and integrate applications that enable global business processes and help develop and support solutions to meet tomorrow’s business needs. You may also provide support to ensure optimal utilization of our general and high-performance computing systems.

Required Qualifications: 
• Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university. 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
• Strong technical skills with interest in applying technology to improve business outcomes. 
• Ability to write code/scripting (i.e. C/C++, C#, Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell) 
• Ability to develop in low code environment (e.g. PowerBI, PowerApps, etc.) 
• A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 
• Student must have awareness of information technology’s current and emerging trends and direction. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Geographic mobility is a plus.  
• School, work experiences or exposure in the following areas is a plus: 
• Cloud Infrastructure (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Services. 
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.  
• Agile Development, Networking, Unix/Linux Administration, Windows Administration. 
• Data Science / Data modeling. 
• Cybersecurity 
• Scrum/Agile/SAFe.

Intern assignments are typically 10-12 weeks between May and August. 
 
Relocation Options: 
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
