GRADUATE STUDENT-R&D - ASTROPHYSICS/REMOTE SENSING

Job Summary:

Join the Space Science and Engineering Division as a Graduate Student Intern! You will collaborate with the team to develop new concepts for a cube sat. Further responsibilities will be the use of Python and SolidWorks to develop test beds for CCD characterization. Additional responsibilities include the development of optical systems for the aerospace environment.

Education/Experience:

Must be pursuing a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Space Science Engineering or related. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Must have completed labs, courses, or internships with experience in Oscilloscope Operation, Image Plates, Radiation, vacuum chamber operation, optical alignment, or mission design. Aerospace engineering or related classes, and knowledge of detector characterization, SolidWorks, system design, system engineering, and data processing knowledge are required. Open for co-op, year-round, or summer student. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
