The City of Portland, Bureau of Revenue and Financial Services is seeking a new Senior Claims Analyst to join their team.
The Senior Claims Analyst – Civil Rights position is housed within the Risk Management Division of the Bureau of Revenue and Financial Services (BRSF). Risk Management administers the City’s self-insured general liability and workers’ compensation claims programs, procures commercial insurance for property and other risks, and provides bureau support for employee safety, loss prevention, risk assessment and third-party subrogation.
The Senior Claims Analyst – Civil Rights position is one of three Senior Analysts on the Liability Team. The purpose and focus of this position is to minimize the financial losses due to alleged civil rights violations by investigating and responding to administrative complaints of employment discrimination filed with the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) and/or the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC); and to investigate, negotiate and resolve formal wage and hour complaints. In addition to employment related claims, the position will also investigate and evaluate general liability, auto liability, law enforcement liability and employment practices tort claims against the City and its employees, including federal claims for constitutional violations.
