Job Description

We are a Northwest Austin Learning Center which provides youth language learning, academic enrichment and a variety of other classes.

We are seeking enthusiastic, talented, and responsible tutors to tutor small group (4-5 students) of elementary students. The small group of students will come from same public elementary school in same grade level who are taking remote/virtual classes from their public elementary school.
You will meet the small group of students one hour a day every weekday. You need to access your student’s online education management platform and understand the school activities for the day. In the one-hour online meeting, you will go over and explain the materials for the school day and lead your small group to complete daily school requirement and finish homework. You may be expected to teach/tutor more than one small groups over the fall if hired. Experienced tutor or undergraduate, graduate students with teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply for this position. If interested, please submit your resume, and contact information. Working hours

Monday to Friday
Time slot 1: 10:00 – 11:00am
Time slot 2: 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Time slot 3: 1:45pm – 2:45pm

Succeed Roles and Responsibilities

  • Follow your small group’s public-school teaching material, lessons, readings, homework, etc.
  • Teach the required materials if one or more members in your small group need extra helps
  • Communicated with parents regarding student progress and issues
  • Establish a learning environment that is conductive to learning
  • Build a close healthy relation with small group members



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or current junior or senior
  • Experience in teaching or working with elementary students
  • Capable to teach a wide range of elementary level subjects
  • Detail oriented, organized, responsible, patient, and punctual
  • Excellent oral communication skills
