Technology Intern

Buffalo 8 is a full-service media company with two principal offices across Los Angeles and New Mexico. Buffalo 8 operates five core service divisions: development, production, post-production, distribution, and creative branding with accolades from the Sundance, Berlin, Toronto, Tribeca, and SXSW festivals. Buffalo 8 works closely with its sister company, BondIt Media Capital, a world-renowned film, television and media financier founded in November 2013.

To begin the internship, interns will have the opportunity to work at Buffalo 8 and BondIt Media Capital, on projects overlapping across both companies and all five service divisions.

Intern responsibilities and daily tasks will include some (but not all) of the following: Mapping out stages of BondIt Marketplace, researching film news for engagement on social media, posting and helping manage our social media pages, gathering lead lists for business development and organizing grids, updating and maintaining the companies’ operating systems, managing client materials and tracking client news, reading scripts and providing coverage, building financial models and analyses, drafting creative pitch deck feedback to clients, screening film and TV pilots and providing feedback, screening post-production rough-cuts and other daily tasks as they arise to support the management team.

The position offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both technology and media finance, related production services and a stronger perspective of producing film and television content. Candidates should have superior oral and written communication skills, be eager to learn about the entertainment industry and have a strong work ethic. Graphic Design skills are a plus but not a requirement.

Applicants should submit a resumé with a brief cover letter describing their interest and any relevant skills/experience. LA-based applicants are preferred but not required. Experience in computer science and computer design with an interest in entrepreneurship is required. Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, or recent graduates (preferably within two years), are all eligible to apply.
