Water Filtration Operator

Location: Oshkosh, WI

Salary: This position is an hourly, non-exempt position, with a full benefits package and will be filled as either an Operator I or Operator II, dependent upon qualifications. Pay starts at $21.55 per hour.

 

The City of Oshkosh, Wisconsin is searching for a full-time Water Filtration Operator. This position is responsible for the care and efficient operation of the City Water Filtration. Work includes the control, operation and maintenance of equipment, as well as regulating water flow and taking corrective actions to repair or assist in repairs as necessary.

 

Operator I Education and Experience:

•   Associate’s Degree in Water, Wastewater or a related field; or

•    A high school diploma or equivalent and one or more years of experience in Water, Wastewater or a related field;

•   Ability to obtain a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a Grade T, Class S Surface Water Waterworks Operator Certification within one year of hire;

•  Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

 

Operator II Education and Experience:

•  Associate’s Degree in Water, Wastewater or a related field; or

•  A high school diploma or equivalent and one or more years of experience in Water, Wastewater or a related field;

• Possess a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a Grade T, Class S Surface Water Waterworks Operator Certification;

•  Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
