Middle School English Teacher

Headwaters School, a Pre-K through grade 12 independent day school serving 550 students across its three campuses in Austin, TX, is seeking an English Teacher in our Middle School for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The course load for this position will include teaching four sections of Middle School English and one section of a Middle School elective. Candidates will also be prepared to participate fully in the life of the school, including, but not limited to opportunities to coach, sponsor a club, serve as an advisor to middle school students, supervise lunch, chaperone trips, and other duties as assigned by the Director of the Middle School.

Teaching Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree required, degree in English preferred
• A minimum of three years prior experience teaching in a middle school or high school setting
• Extensive knowledge and ability to teach any grade level of middle school English required
• Experience developing curriculum strongly preferred

This is a full-time, 12-month salaried, exempt position and compensation is competitive for the greater Austin area.
