Remote Refugee Services: Case Management and Client Support Intern

Department: Social Adjustment Services and Preferred Communities, Refugee Services

Supervisor: Aisha Koroma, Health & Social Services Manager

Description: We are seeking a Case Management and Client Support intern to assist with case management (home visits, medical transportation, needs assessments, applications support...). The intern will also assist with community resource research, creating presentation materials, facilitating workshops/cultural orientation sessions, and data entry.

Hours: 10-20 hours per week Skills/Qualifications: Social service experience; experience working with vulnerable populations like refugees and other migrant groups; multicultural competency; great communication skills(oral and written); team play; great leadership skills; innovative Fluency in Arab.

Skills/Qualifications: Education majors preferred, excellent communication skills, ability to work with students from many backgrounds and educational levels Fluency in a language spoken by refugee populations in Houston preferred. 

Start Date: Flexible. Recruiting Now for Fall 2020 positions. This internship is remote.
