Public Relations Intern
Mercom is based in Austin and is the leading communications agency that specializes in the clean energy sector. We are currently hiring Public Relations Interns for the fall 2020 semester. Candidates should be interested in amassing real-world public relations experience to bolster their resume and will be responsible for assisting in numerous daily communications activities. Depending on experience, ambition, and availability, the public relations intern may also be given the opportunity to undertake projects of wider scope and responsibility. Duties can include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Drafting various client-facing pieces (press releases, corporate profiles, original content, media & analyst briefs, conference overviews, etc.)
- Assisting with PR campaign efforts, including contributing to the crafting of key messages and tactics, monitoring media, researching competitors, and compiling data for activity reports
- Creating social media, multimedia, and other digital content
- Updating websites, providing creative input
- Updating presentations
- Other public relations tasks as required
**This internship is unpaid BUT interns do receive a monthly stipend for travel expenses**
