Public Relations Intern - Spring 2021
Dim Mak Records is seeking Public Relations interns. Applicants should be available to work remotely and/or out of our Downtown LA office 2-3 days for at least 16 hours per week and able to receive college credit. PR intern candidates should have knowledge of the Dim Mak brand, as well as of the electronic music community as a whole. Knowledge of electronic music and artists across all genres is a must, as well as having their finger on the pulse of major events, festivals, and releases outside of Dim Mak, news pertaining to the electronic community, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Writing of press materials such as press releases and newsletters
- Compiling press reports
- Tracking press clippings
- Reaching out to relevant outlets and news sources
- Updating media contact lists and databases
Qualifications:
-Excellent writing and proofreading skills
-Must be comfortable writing in a fast-paced environment as there are often simultaneous projects at any given time.
-Experience in publicity preferred, but not required
-Knowledge of Dim Mak brand and electronic music artists and genres
Requirements:
-Local to LA
-Enrolled in a bachelor's program
-Receive school credit
-Commit to 2-3 days/week in office from 10 AM - 6 PM
