A&R Intern - Spring 2021
Dim Mak Records is seeking A&R interns. Applicants should be available to work remotely and/or out of our Downtown LA office 2-3 days for at least 16 hours per week for college credit. A&R candidates should have knowledge of the Dim Mak brand, as well as of the electronic music community as a whole. Knowledge of electronic music and artists across all genres is a must, as well as having their finger on the pulse of major events, festivals, and releases outside of Dim Mak, news pertaining to the electronic community, etc.
Qualifications:
-Strong research and communication skills
-Knowledge of electronic music artists & genres
-Knowledge of major events, festivals, releases
-Knowledge of music writing & composition preferred
-Engineering and/or music training preferred
Responsibilities:
-Researching writers and producers
-Maintaining contact list and database
-Compiling music assets
-Maintaining A&R newsletter
-Support for A&R administration
Requirements:
-Local to LA
-Enrolled in a bachelor's program
-Receive school credit
-Commit to 2-3 days/week in office from 10 AM - 6 PM
