Miranda Bennett Studio is an ethical women's apparel brand based in Austin, TX. We make exceptional, plant-dyed clothing with an all-woman team in the USA. Our considered apparel is Zero Waste and sustainable by design, prioritizing style, versatility, and comfort.
We are a female-founded and independently owned. A core tenant of our brand is that every woman, from those on our team to our end customers to mother earth, are treated with dignity. We pay fair wages across our supply chain in US currency, abiding by US labor standards.
We dye our textiles with plants that are non-toxic and safe for our waterways. Some of our plant dyes, we grow ourselves without the use of pesticides, others are byproducts from other industries that we divert from landfills, others still are sustainably harvested plant materials sourced globally. Our fabrics all come from plant-derived sources and are biodegradable. 100% or our textile waste is kept out of landfills and our garment take-back program offers customers a no-waste option for disposing of our apparel at the end of its life cycle.
We want to offer apparel, accessories and products for the home that honors beauty, providing truly versatile, well-made items that feel exquisite to live with and wear. Location & Commitment:
This is an unpaid, remote based internship to take place over the course of the Fall 2020 Semester, from September-December 2020, with a commitment of 2-4 hours a day, Monday - Friday, and not to exceed 20 hours per week.
Internship Overview & Responsibilities:
Our Interns are self-motivated, personable, hardworking individuals who are seeking an opportunity for genuine professional growth and development. The Social Media internship is focused on maintaining and managing our social engagement across multiple channels, including (but not limited to): Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube. As the Social Media intern, you will deploy online marketing strategies to build brand awareness and drive inbound traffic to increase followers, company image, and brand representation.
The Social Media Intern role will be on the front lines of our branding and growth strategy. Our Social Media Intern is responsible for bringing new ideas about digital media and creative energy to our team. Social Media strategy is always changing and we need Social Media Interns that can help execute a brand representation that displays what we offer our clients.
Hands-on experience working in a Brand environment, including:
• first hand knowledge of what is involved with communicating brand identity, encompassing a brand’s values, product launches, consumer education, and, most importantly, connection.
• cultivation of basic copywriting skills, deploying a distinct brand voice
• coordination with MBS Team Members to maintain a social media calendar tethered to product releases
• exposure to project coordination and execution
• pitching content concepts
Qualified candidates will have a focus in journalism, public relations, communications, English or any other writing-focused major. Ideal candidates will be available part-time Monday through Friday.

Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Must be 18 years of age or older
Ability to multitask and highly organized
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Mature with a solid work ethic
Previous internship or work experience preferred.
Coachable with a willingness to learn and a commitment to excellence
Comfortable taking direction as well as taking the initiative
Experience with social media platforms and various creative tools (i.e. Adobe Photoshop or Premiere) preferred.

What You'll Do
• Compose and collect creative and engaging copy and content for social media posts and campaigns across social media.
• Social media customer service and community management.
• Track measure and report social media data/analytics
• Monitor/engage/report social media trends through social listening
• Influencer monitoring/engagement
• Coordinate across the MBS Team to be in the know about upcoming product launches
