Private Equity Analyst Intern
The internship is an ideal experience for undergraduates with a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in investment banking or private equity. Analysts will receive a combination of formal training and hands on, practical experience with many stages of the private equity investment process.
In this role, you should expect to work on the following:
- Researching and identifying attractive industries based on the fund's investment criteria
- Developing investment theses and researching business models for selected industries
- Producing emails/letters for targeted small businesses
- Reviewing confidential information on potential acquisitions
- Building financial forecasts and leveraged buyout (LBO) models for select opportunities
- Participating in phone calls with investment bankers and small business owners
- Discussing private equity career paths and recruiting strategies with the fund's founder

- Course Credit: Analysts are encouraged to arrange class credit, if possible
- Time Commitment: Up to 20 hours per week, scheduled to allow you to meet other academic commitments
- Duration: 12 weeks

You will be right at home if you have the following:
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework
- A strong and proven interest in private equity, entrepreneurship, and finance
- A tenacious work ethic and a high-level of curiosity for how businesses work
- An ability to self-motivate and to independently structure research tasks
- High degree of competence with Microsoft Excel and an interest in financial analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
