Assistant Women's Rowing Coach

Job Description:

This position assists the Head coach in development and administration of the assigned NCAA Division I sport program. Including, but not limited to, coaching, mentoring, program development, recruiting, public relations, community involvement and administrative duties as assigned in compliance with all university, conference and NCAA regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation, Sports Administration or related field
4 years playing and/or coaching experience in rowing with knowledge of rules of the game and playing strategies
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulation; ability to pass NCAA coach’s certification test
Ability to travel throughout the academic year and summer
Strong communication skills to effectively work with a diverse work force and student-athlete population
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to motivate student athletes
Demonstrated ability to be self- directed and detail-oriented
CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire
Valid drivers license with proven driving record in good standing
Ability to pass pre-employment background check and physical

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s Degree
NCAA Division I coaching experience
Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role in a collaborative environment
Demonstrated knowledge of Northwest region as it pertains to recruiting
International recruiting experience
