Grant and Funding Specialist

About the Role:
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is looking for a Grant and Funding Specialist to provide research, development, coordination and follow up for funding application proposals within the Facilities Services Division.

The Facilities Services Division is responsible for the execution of the District's school construction bond programs, the maintenance and operations of schools, the utilization of existing assets, and master planning for future capital projects. The ideal candidate has experience identifying potential sources of funding from federal, State, and private sources and strong analytical and writing skills in preparing grant applications and proposals. Experience reconciling grant accounts, monitoring related expenditures, and maintaining relationships with community organizations, city officials, and non-profit agencies to ensure full grant compliance highly desired.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional level experience related to grant proposal writing and research or other funding application preparation, writing, research, and program compliance/monitoring experience.
*Experience with LAUSD grants and funding may substitute for up to two years of required college education.
