ULN EL: GivePulse Coordinator
The Give Pulse intern will work closely with The Center for Community Engagement to use Givepulse as a way to create a more engaged student body within the University of Texas. Intern will manage the GivePulse user network and support structure for campus users of our online community engagement platform, including outreach presentations and creation of user guides. They will also manage the resource network and support structure for community based organizations looking for volunteers within the UT Austin community. Givepulse is a community engagement platform that supports thousands of nonprofits, associations, institutions, businesses and organizations. Through Givepulse, students are able to find volunteer and internship opportunities, as well as create events for their own organizations.
Learning Outcomes:
- Be able to learn Critical Thinking/Problem Solving skills through the management of community partners:
- Learn to collaborate with a team as students will meet regularly with supervisor and with their peers to work on projects
- Become competent with digital technology through the management of the online platform GivePulse
