Project Planner - Full-Time

S. R. D. Consulting, LLC (SRDC) is a land use planning and development consulting company based in Denver, Colorado. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, early-to-mid career Project Planner to join our growing team.

Description
We are seeking a full-time Project Planner to perform planning and policy research, assess land use and zoning codes, read + summarize planning and policy documents, and to take on project management duties as needed. In this role, you will support a variety of planning projects, specifically exploring carbon-free and electrified transport. As our client list grows, we are looking to add passion, curiosity, and enthusiasm to our team!

The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and formatting planning and policy documents, a solid understanding of land use and zoning principals, strong critical thinking skills, and a passion for sustainable transportation and/or renewable energy. You should write, speak, and otherwise express yourself clearly and concisely with an interest in, mapping, research, and analyzing quantitative data.

This position is based in Denver, CO and may include periodic travel within and outside of the state. SRDC has been watching the COVID-19 situation closely to determine when it will be safe to travel. In the short-term this position can be performed remotely (next 1-3 months). Free coffee daily and lunch once a week when we are back in the office.

The minimum requirements for this position include:
  • A bachelor's degree in urban planning, environmental policy, energy, public administration, geography, or similar; currently seeking or recently graduated with a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of experience working on local or regional government planning projects, policy, educational programming, project management, and/or transportation projects. Work in the electric vehicle space preferred but not required.
  • A passion for making our planet a better place.
  • A can-do attitude; someone who is willing and able to take on many different tasks and jump into existing and new projects.
  • A willingness and desire to learn new things and take on new challenges

Experience with the following is desired, but not required:
·       GIS mapping,
·       Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop,
·       Community engagement, marketing, and education
