APRO, a nonprofit trade association based north of Austin in Cedar Park, is looking for a dynamic Digital Media Intern to help further their brand, provide consistency in communications, and assist with social media strategy. This is a paid 3-month internship with the opportunity to extend. Candidates will need to be available 20+ hours a week during our business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:30). This position offers a remote work option with occasional in-person meetings once COVID-19 threats lift.

About the Opportunity:
Our Digital Media Intern is responsible for coordinating and executing social media strategy across Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. You will also assist with podcasts, blogs, and vlogs, and ultimately will be instrumental in increasing our digital media presence. With you on the team, our goal is to gain visibility for our brand among our members and vendors. This position communicates and reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role, you will learn to:
· Assist with streamlining our social media accounts by working within our style guidelines
· Help build our follower and subscriber numbers
· Manage the monthly social media calendar
· Write, research, and edit content for all different media channels
· Coordinate and distribute content for cross-posting on different channels, re-purposing articles, and engagement posts
· Ensure daily postings about industry news, membership, and business relations
· Monitor our engagement levels and reply to tweets and comments
· Schedule and attend monthly brainstorming meetings
· Research best practices and efficiencies for social media, podcasts, blogging, and vlogging
· Assist with coordination and content for our print and digital magazine
