Staff Assistant

The staff assistant supports Texas Cultural Trust staff members by providing administrative work, performing clerical functions, and other tasks as needed to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 
  • Data Entry 
  • Drafting correspondence 
  • Maintaining and updating calendars 
  • Communicating with various constituent groups, partners, and vendors  
  • Conducting research 
  • Providing support for projects and initiatives: including grant facilitation, data assessment and reporting, event coordination, record keeping, Canvas platform management, survey development, research, communications, mailings, constituent engagement, development and donor communication. 
  • Assisting with event planning, logistics, and execution 
  • Assisting with facilitation of board meeting logistics 
  • Answering phones Running errands as needed 
  • Other administrative duties as directed

Knowledge and Experience Required:  
  • Microsoft Office  
  • Project management experience 
  • Raiser’s Edge (Blackbaud) experience is a plus 
  • Adobe Suite experience is a plus 
  • Knowledge of office procedures 
  • Familiarity with office equipment (e.g. printers and fax machines) 
  • Proven work experience as a Staff Assistant, Administrative Assistant or similar role 
  • Non-profit experience 

Compensation, Hours and Location: 
This is a part-time position that will work remotely during the time of social distancing. Once social distancing requirements are lifted, the staff assistant will perform work in an office environment and must maintain the ability to work in a small workstation without an expectation of privacy. (in an open-office environment) Compensation is commensurate with experience and competitive with similar sized non-profits.
