The University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a Pre-Health Recruiter/Advisor position in the Health Careers Resource Center (HCRC). The Recruiter/Advisor provides direct in person academic and career advising primarily to prospective UNO students, in addition to current UNO students. This position will be based in the Health Careers Resource Center (HCRC). The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting with and encouraging high school and transfer students and families interested in attending UNO and then pursuing a career in healthcare. To this end, the position will work closely with many UNO units. This person will assist in campus and college recruiting efforts and events and will provide advising support throughout the summer to Enrollment Days events and activities. This position also works closely and helps coordinate these efforts among the other members of the HCRC advising team. There are other duties that may be assigned.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Biology, Education, Psychology, Communication Studies, Sociology, Academic Advising, Student Affairs, or related discipline or two plus years experience in student advising and/or recruiting.
Salary Information: $41,000-$45,000/year
