Vendor Management Intern

JOB SUMMARY
The Vendor Management Intern will have a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have great verbal and written communication skills, are adaptable to change, and flexible. You will work closely with UFCU’s Vendor Management Liaisons, Accounting, Legal and the Vendor Management Office.  This role will be responsible for assisting the vendor management department in aiding in the management of contracts, onboarding our new VMO, and transforming the department in how it manages the day-to-day process of contracts. This is a 10 week internship and will run from September to November.

 Continuous Learning
  • Learn all role-specific technical skills
  • Monitors and maintains contracts through the RSA Archer Contract Management System.
  • Conducts certain contracting functions if delegated by a VMO with the proper coaching and direction.
  • Aids VMO to monitors/reports contract compliance and maintains required process documentation.
  • Develop understanding of professionalism and etiquette

 Building Relationships
  • Assist in researching, developing and testing new technologies that provide the next generation of contract administration and production finance tools and determine how and when to best incorporate into the production accounting workflow
  • Either aids the Vendor Management Liaisons upload contract information into RSA Archer, or does so itself.

  • Knowledge, skills and ability to work with data in Excel (e.g. use if pivot tables)
  • Work with Vendor Management Liaisons to clearly document business requirements
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Junior of Senior student from an accredited college or university
 
Experience
  • Minimum of 30 completed academic hours
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Data analytics (including school and professional assignments)

Specialized Knowledge
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – preferred
 
Miscellaneous
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required. Job may require travel to varied locations throughout Austin metro area
  • Bilingual Spanish / English preferred
  • Must be bondable
