VISTA Communications & Development Coordinator

Working with Hunger Free America’s Director of Communications, Development, and Digital Outreach, the AmeriCorps VISTA Communications & Development Coordinator will help build capacity in both the Communications and Development Departments.

The Coordinator will:

- Work on social media campaigns to promote Hunger Free America’s programs to reach low-income Americans so they can more easily access food resources.

- Create social media content that will drive more individual donations so that we can better assist low-income individuals.

- Draft email communications to donors that highlight our work.

- Record individual donations in Salesforce and generate thank you letters.

- Work with the Director on the overall Development strategy to expand Hunger Free America’s donor base.

- Expand our partnerships and engagement with corporations and employee giving programs.

- Work to strengthen the public’s understanding of HFA’s work and mission by updating the content on our website.

- Support fundraising events throughout the year, including virtual events, in order to raise money that will go toward our programs and allow us to continue helping people access nutritious food.

- Carry out other duties, as assigned.
