Eastern State Hospital (ESH) has an opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Adult Psychiatric ward.
In this role, you will participate in providing excellent nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You'll enjoy interacting with our clients as you team up to help them improve and work toward recovery. This is a night shift job - hours are 10:30 pm – 07:00 am with Tuesday and Wednesday as days off. A shift differential of $1.50 an hour is provided for the night shift.
Some of what you'll do:
- Provide routine direct patient care on a Psychiatric Unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse to patients who have psychiatric and physical illnesses
- Administer medications and treatments
- Assign non-clinical duties to Licensed Practical Nurses and Mental Health Technicians
- Educate and train Licensed Practical Nurses as Pyxis and MediMAR super-users
- Provide direct nursing care on a ward according to the treatment plan
- Provide routine direct patient care on a Psychiatric unit
- Safely, physically, and therapeutically intervene with patients exhibiting high-risk behaviors
- Educate patients in adaptive living skills during activities on the ward and in the treatment mall during one to one and/or group interactions
- Inventory and maintain medical supplies and equipment via existing processes

Who should apply?
Professionals who possess a valid LPN license to practice within the state of Washington AND one year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
