Marketing Product Manager/Specialist (#SS-1103)

Contribute to up and downstream marketing efforts of new hip implant products from conceptualization through commercialization. Assist in creation and execution of business plan for assigned products to achieve divisional revenue goals within product budget. Contribute to building of business cases for new product and program innovations through market research, surgeon needs, sales needs and competitive landscape. Share findings with key opinion leaders and design teams on new product development. Assist with defining and executing launch plans for new product roll-outs including product segmentation, targeting, positioning, collateral development and field support. Help support field and customer education using knowledge of products. Help prepare new and legacy product forecasts and budgets using market trends and their impact. Share portfolio details at industry tradeshows and educational meetings; on-site customer meetings and labs; national sales meetings; and other strategic meetings. Assist department in cultivating relationships with key customers, internal stakeholders and sales organization.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Marketing, Business or related field. 3 years of experience in marketing in the field of medical research, medical technical sales, medical technical field training or any combination thereof. Employer will accept pre- or post-master’s degree experience. All experience must be post-bachelor’s degree. Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Marketing, Business or related field and 5 years of progressive experience in marketing in the field of medical research, medical technical sales, medical technical field training or any combination thereof in lieu of a master’s degree or equivalent and 3 years of experience. Work experience to include: 1) Creating and executing a business plan for assigned products to achieve divisional revenue goals within allocated budget; 2) Building business cases for new product and marketing program initiatives including return on investment, cost, and revenue projections; 3) Working cross-functionally with key opinion leaders and design teams on new product development; 4) Defining and executing launch plans for new product roll-outs including product segmentation, targeting, positioning, collateral development and field support; 5) Serving as a subject matter expert on products and educating the sales channel and customers; 6) Preparing new and legacy product forecasts and budgets; and 7) Representing the portfolio at industry trade shows and educational meetings. 40 hr./wk.

30% domestic travel required. Travel expenses paid by employer.
