Life Coaches
Exploratory Studies
The Exploratory Studies (ES) Life Coach will promote the academic success of UNO students enrolled in Exploratory Studies.
ES provides students a sequence of common courses, special activities, advisement, and other opportunities to connect with faculty and peers. The ES team is a dynamic area with a great deal of student interaction.
The ES Life Coach will serve as an academic and personal resource to students seeking ways to succeed at UNO. The Life Coach will partner with Instructors of EXPL 1000 to support students at UNO.
Additionally, the Life Coach will meet with students on academic probation to help them create a plan to be successful.
The Life Coach will also have opportunities to supervise Peer Mentors in multiple aspects of a student staff program including but not limited to hiring, training, and leadership development.
A Life Coach will work with students and staff to enhance the community and the overall success of the students through other programmatic needs defined by the Associate Director and ES team.
Required Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field preferred.
·        Experience working with college students and/or teaching experience, and/or academic advising experience. Experience working with college students and faculty in a university environment.
·        Commitment to working with diverse students and in a team environment.
Salary Information: $44,500/year
