Media Library Support, Intern

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:
The Media Library Support Intern will assist the Communications and Marketing team in developing a plan for securing a robust, user-friendly media storage system. This will involve identifying internal needs for the system, evaluating the current platform to determine if it can be modified to meet these needs, identifying alternate systems for consideration, and synthesizing findings in a consolidated report.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Determine comprehensive needs for improved system for managing EngenderHealth media
  • Determine the potential for meeting these needs by modifying the current system
  • Researching alternative systems to meet these needs
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Minimum of two years of college/university completed
  • Experience conducting independent research (e.g., web research) and drafting reports and presentations
  • Computer capabilities, including experience with and reliable access to computer, internet, and basic MS products (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Cross-cultural communication capabilities—including ability to participate in video conference calls with colleagues around the world
  • Must be comfortable and respectful of EngenderHealth’s programming that promotes sexual and reproductive rights, gender equality, sexual diversity, and LGBTQ+ rights.
 
DURATION AND LOCATION OF THE INTERNSHIP: 
  • The internship will last approximately 8 weeks and ideally would commence by July 20, 2020, with an opportunity to extend dependent upon need. 
  • The time commitment for this internship is 20- 29 hours per week.
  • The position is based at EngenderHealth, Washington DC, but due to COVID-19, this will be a remote work based position.
COMPENSATION: 
  • This will be an unpaid internship or academic credit
