After-Hours Foster Care On-Call Specialist- Part Time

Pay Grade: 4/5
Salary: $35,568-$45,614 annually
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for completing assignments received from the After-Hours Foster Care On-Call Manager. Receives information about youth and assesses the youth’s placement needs. Key job duties include being accessible both by phone and in-person during the hours of 11:00 pm to 8:00 am, Monday through Thursday, and completing all documentation in a proper and timely fashion. The After-Hours Foster Care On-Call Specialist partners with the Placement Finding team and other Foster Care Case Management staff to conduct a search for placements that would consider the youth’s needs and emphasize the least restrictive environment as well as relative and kin exploration. Other key duties include developing and maintaining strong relationships with placement providers and agencies, foster care case management staff, and other key community partners. This position is also responsible for transporting youth to identified placement during after-hours time periods.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or other human services related field and at least two years of work experience with children and families. The After-Hours Foster Care On-Call Specialist will have completed the required pre-service training to ensure compliance with DCF requirements. Must pass a background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
