Machine Learning, Computer vision/Image recognition Engineer

“TELEXISTENCE” is a concept that was first proposed in 1980 by Dr. Susumu Tachi, Professor Emeritus of the University of Tokyo and the chairman of TELEXISTENCE Inc., which refers to the notion of human beings in effect being in a place other than where he or she actually exists and being able to act freely in that remote environment – essentially expanding the presence of human beings – as well as the technological systems that make this possible.

As a member of the new automation team, you will be responsible for developing an image recognition system to be integrated into the company’s robot. Using data from an RGBD camera, you will develop systems to detect the position & orientation of objects and grasping points of objects/robot hands. You will also work on the integration of the developed algorithm into the robot control system. We are looking for a person with a strong sense of curiosity.
