This Business Development Associate role focuses on marketing and executing Correlation One's world-class data science programs, including The Data Open and Data Science for All. This person will design and run digital marketing campaigns, develop partnerships in academia and industry, and manage live and online event operations.

As a Business Development Associate you will:
  • Coordinate all aspects of our Campus & Event marketing initiatives to drive new applicant acquisition
  • Be the point person for contact mapping to help us connect with the right people on campuses
  • Research & source additional opportunities - speaking events with academic departments, clubs, university conferences, case competitions, and other innovative ideas you believe will drive awareness for Correlation One’s event portfolio, focusing on our Terminal Live Global Competition and differentiate the brand
  • Play a supporting role in managing day-to-day marketing initiatives
  • Analyze marketing activities to determine effectiveness, creating ongoing reporting dashboards and continually recommending optimizations to our activations in order to achieve our goals
  • Help run exciting events including Competitions and training programs at top universities all over the world including the United States, China, United Kingdom, France and more!
  • Conduct research, raise brand awareness, and assist with both online and offline marketing campaigns.
  • Support and work on a wide range of day-to-day activities related to building and growing the business.

 
Some skills we consider critical to being a Business Development Associate
  • 1-3 years experience (including internships) in a business development role at a technology company; minimum 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Action-oriented problem solver and driven by an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Team player who thrives in an energetic and intelligent working environment.
  • Competitive, hardworking, highly-focused, and results-oriented.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication, organization, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • A passion for data science and the data science community is essential.
  • The ability to perform research to identify new companies and people for prospecting.
  • Loves dealing with people.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps.
  • Consistently meet or exceed individual performance targets.
 
The Hiring Process:
Our goal is to move very quickly in hiring this role. The entire process will require four stages: a resume submission, a phone interview, a skills assessment, and a final group interview. After each phase, we will inform you within a few days if you proceed to the next round.
