Retail Credit BD - Business Analyst (Portfolio Management)
The Data team at Shopee consists of the Business Intelligence and Data Science teams. The Business Intelligence team plays a critical role in building Shopee's data platforms and conducting business-related analysis to solve business-related issues. The Data Science team prides itself in using scientific methods and hacking skills to power key business processes and elevate the business model based on a deep understanding of Shopee's business strategy. This includes machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and rules-based models.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for credit product management; design financial features such as pricing, repayment plan, revolving credit and so forth
- Manage P&L for credit products, analyse data and recommend improvement areas, work with cross-functional teams to rollout improvement plans
- Strategise portfolio segmentation and optimise portfolio profitability while achieving business scale goals
- Create and follow through open platform strategy for external partners
- Implement market research to understand trends, work closely with risk, IT and other teams to form business planning and drive sustainable growth
Requirements:
- A degree from a worldly recognised university with good academic credentials
- 2 - 8 years of work experience required, preferably in areas of consumer/digital lending, or similar retail financial products
- Builder mindset, solid portfolio management experiences with reputable consulting firms, Internet, FinTech, Banking or financial institutions
- Strong data analytics skill is a must-to-have
- Ability to develop good work relationships within and outside the company
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive, to-do attitude and take initiative in action
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate clearly and concisely
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of verbal and written English and another Asian language (Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, Tagalog)
- Virtual interviews will be conducted in place of physical interviews for applicants outside of Singapore.
