K-12 Teachers

Inter- American School is starting to fill positions for the 2020-2021 school year! IAS is an English Language Immersion school, offering instruction to students in Prekindergarten through Twelfth Grade. Our education and core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) are based on U.S. college preparatory standards. Education at IAS is not just intellectual. We work hard to encourage development in every area of a child’s life: personal, spiritual, ethical, and physical. Therefore, our learning environment also includes physical education, art, drama, computers, and library classes, as well as weekly chapel services to facilitate spiritual growth and community. Bible courses are also taught by homeroom teachers in elementary classrooms, as well as required courses for both Middle and High School students. 

IAS pays for all fees involving teacher visas, as well as a travel benefit to fly home at the end of the school year. The generous living stipend provided for teachers covers costs for living expenses while in Guatemala. The school also provides a savings account, where a part of the teacher paycheck is deposited each month. Other benefits include health insurance, Spanish language class benefits, and professional development money to go towards certification.
