Business Development Intern

A foreign governmental consulate in the fields of Energy and Economy is looking for a Business Development intern for an open position in Houston, Texas.

Role
This position is a great opportunity to build your network of contacts in Houston while gaining expertise in various sectors, including the Life Sciences, Cyber Security and Energy sectors. You will be based in our Houston office reporting to the Business Development Director who will provide feedback concerning job performance and skills that are being acquired on the job. As an intern, you’ll be able to network, build, and grow connections in the government and private sectors.
Your tasks will include:
·          Researching the Business Development sectors in the United States and identifying opportunities.
·          Opening the door for our country in the targeted sectors.
·          Cultivating contacts and following news and/or trends for the energy sector.
·          Assisting foreign companies in finding resources and contacts needed to enter or expand into the American market.
·          Cooperating with other organizations, associations, and government offices to plan events and trade missions.
·          Assist in building a network of professionals to help support international business and trade.
·          Addressing administrative tasks within the office setting.

Qualifications
·          All degrees will be considered.
·          Exceptional English writing and communication skills are a must.
·          Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
·          The ability to multitask in a fast paced and intense work environment.
·          Familiarity with the global economic trends and business cultures is a plus.
