Legislative Internship
State Representative Ryan Guillen is seeking applicants interested in the legislative process. This is an internship that requires daily contact with constituents, public officials, media, advocates, and Capitol and district office staff. Interns will work under the direct supervision of the Representative and his staff in the Capitol office. The internship program will train interns in legal/legislative research and writing, all while providing a first-hand look at Texas politics and policies.
Responsibilities
Conduct policy research
Help craft and draft legislation
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Must show attention to detail
Salary
This is an unpaid internship, but may be considered for course credit.
