Data Analyst

Integra is hiring entrepreneurial and quantitative-minded students/graduates with data analytics experience who are interested in translating their academic interests into the real-world application of corporate financial forensics and fraud detection. Integra is an economic and financial research firm that seeks to tackle complex financial fraud cases using data science, econometrics, and advanced analytics. While we are a fairly established company, we still intensely value the start-up values of initiative, creativity, and questioning assumptions. Our office is also conveniently located adjacent to the UT Austin campus which enables us to closely interface with the academic environment and the university’s top intellectual talent.
Main responsibilities include:
- Working with our team to examine potentially fraudulent patterns
- Conducting background research to develop hypotheses of where fraud occurs
- Data extraction and processing: writing scripts to retrieve and organize data
- Data mining: parsing free-form text fields, images and spreadsheets to derive insights
- Data analysis: analyzing large datasets to find insights and fraudulent patterns, by thoughtfully applying the appropriate tools and algorithms
Job Qualifications:
- Familiarity with R, SQL, Python, or other high-level programming languages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail with big-picture understanding
- Ability to work well in teams
- Highest ethical standards
