Laboratory Analyst
We are currently hiring laboratory analysts for our Houston Laboratory at 6110 W.34th St. 77092 and our Pasadena Laboratory at 3113 Red Bluff Rd. 77503. A Degree in one of the hard sciences is preferred: Geology, Biology, Biotech, Microbiology, etc. however, college courses covering biology, geology, mineralogy, microbiology, and/or environmental science are acceptable. Polarized Light Microscope experience a plus. This position involves both sample preparation and analytical components. During sample preparation, applicants will be expected to use basic laboratory chemical and sterile techniques, follow safety procedures, and complete quality control measures. Training will be provided.
The position requires integrity, attention to detail, ability to functionally multi-task, and a desire to learn. Ideal candidates will be reliable and conscientious with an eye for detail; and offer excellent reading, writing, math, and computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
