Mercy Volunteer - Education

Mercy Volunteers promote social change by working as teachers, aides, campus ministers, and occupational or physical therapists in economically poor and socially marginalized communities. Volunteers compassionately serve in elementary schools, high schools, special education, and outreach programs throughout the United States and South America.

Mercy Volunteer Corps supports the professional development and goals of our volunteers with on site mentors who ensures that the volunteers are gaining professional experience and skills. Some positions require a teaching license or therapy license. After serving, volunteers will go on to graduate school, full-time positions, and some are even offered permanent positions at their service sites. MVC will work with volunteers to accommodate interviews. Check out the available graduate school discounts for MVC alumni!

All Mercy Volunteers are provided with housing, transportation, monthly stipends, quarterly retreats, and more! Volunteers live together in community with a commitment to social justice, spiritual growth, and simple/sustainable living.
