I love the work environment within Wells Fargo. My team, as well as my supervisors, care deeply about my success and they help me grow professionally. Credit Analyst

July 2018 • San Jose, CA

What I liked

One of the best training programs Great tools to learn financing and analysis

What I wish was different

Compliance environment is very hard to navigate, which leads to inefficiencies within all banks. Systems are not as advanced as most tech-companies or non-banking companies

Advice

Theres three options as I see it when it comes to a job for finance grads: banking, corporate, or consulting Think about the environment you most want to be in, don’t just take a “finance job”

Corporate Trust Services Intern

May - August 2019 • Minneapolis, MN

What I liked

We were exposed to multiple lines of business within corporate trust Services and was able to network with a lot of people.

What I wish was different

I wish they offered more group projects.

Advice

Take advantage of your internship role. You get the chance to meet so many people. Never be shy to introduce yourself, stay after a meeting to talk to a speaker, or ask people out to lunch. I was able to get my full time job on another team because of the people I was connecting with.

Financial Analyst

June - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

It was great seeing what working in an office 40 hours a week was like. I was able to work with FSU Alumni which was also awesome. I learned a great deal about commercial real estate, but also how to deal with people of different personality types.

What I wish was different

I wish the program had a little more structure. I did not enjoy the days that were slow as much as I enjoyed days full of meetings.

Advice

Ask questions and network while you are there, but most importantly seek to help others whenever you can. Volunteer for any random tasks asked of people in the office.

Systems Support Analyst

January - July 2019 • Philadelphia, PA

What I liked

I liked gaining the experience of learning about a job field in Information Technology and being able to work with a team of people who specialize in database systems.

What I wish was different

The work or lack thereof I should say. The quality of the work was good but the frequency of obtaining work was not always given. I would have liked to receive more tasks and would have liked to have done a lot more.

Advice

Well for me, it made me realize that IT wasn’t really for me. I found no interest in it and working with systems wasn’t something I wanted to do as my career. So I guess my piece of advice would be to make sure that you know what you really want and what career choice you want to pursue.
